It is known as “Pearl of the Costa de La Araucanía” and is marked by its new cooking facilities on the edge of the Imperial River, located on the coast and managed by the local fishermen´s wives. It is a traditional cove of artisanal fishermen where you can find a great variety of typical sea gastronomy, highlighting multiculture as the main economic activity of the cove. Because of this, Nehuentúe and the coast of La Araucanía´s star product is the malto mussel which represents the cove´s gastronomic identity.
